Getting Started

Backing Up Capehelm

Settings provides a clear backup status and direct controls for creating and managing Capehelm backups.

Quick answer

Go to Settings > General and use Back Up Now in Backup Status, or choose Manage Backups for the full workflow.

Backup Status is the safe starting point for a backup or the full Backup & Restore screen.

Create or manage a backup

  1. Open Settings and select General.
  2. Find Backup Status.
  3. Choose Back Up Now to begin a backup. If a destination has not been selected, Capehelm asks you to choose one.
  4. Choose Manage Backups when you need the full Backup & Restore workflow.

Need to restore?

Restoring an archive includes additional validation and safety behavior. Follow the dedicated Backup and Restore article before selecting a .pfbackup.zip archive.
