Getting Started

Opening an Existing Finance Document

Open a Finance Document you already created by selecting its .pfinance package in Capehelm.

Quick answer

Go to Settings > General, find Current Finance File, and choose Open Finance File.

Settings > General provides the safe entry point for opening another Finance Document.

Open the file

  1. Open Settings in Capehelm.
  2. Select General.
  3. In Current Finance File, choose Open Finance File.
  4. Select the existing .pfinance package in the macOS file picker.

If the package does not open

Confirm that you selected a Capehelm .pfinance package. If Capehelm cannot use the selected document, follow the recovery guidance rather than changing files inside the package.
